Ganesh Himal trek combined with Tamang Heritage trail offers a deep look at the Tamang culture. The trek is situated on Great Himalaya Trail. This trek is virgin, of the beaten track, and wilderness, less touristic and ancient trading route to Kerung in Tibet. Tamang and Tibetan culture, beautiful and unique Tamang settlements, marvelous Himalayan views of Ganesh Himal, Sangen Himal, Langtang Lirung, and home-stay are the main features of this trek. The people of the region are Tibetan origin who came to Nepal during 14th century.
Ganesh Himal and Tamang Heritage Trail trekking trip is unique, culturally rich, includes historically famous sites such as the Tatopaani (hot spring) and passes close to the ancient fortress of Rasuwagadhi. Besides, the Nagthali view point one of the best view point in Nepal. Staying at local people’s homes during your trek will give you the unforgettable experience of moments. We, Guide in Himalaya are from the Sertung Village which lies on the way trekking to Tamang Heritage from Dhading and we provide you local guide and porter for this trekking. This trekking trip can be combined with Manaslu trek for a month long wilderness journey to the Great Himalaya Trail.
Day 01: Drive to Dundure Khola (820m)
After breakfast drive Kathmandu to Dundure Khola, dive to Dhading besi about 3.5 hrs through smooth road and after lunch at Dhading besi continue drive to Dundure Khola approximately 4 -5 hours drive. Stay there overnight in basic teahouse.
Day 02: Trek to Sertung (1940m)
Today we trek to Sertung; the biggest Tamang village we will see in this trek. We have lunch break at Borang, 6-7 hours walk and home stay overnight there.
Day 03: Trek to Ma (3000m)
Today we trek to Mergang from Sertung via Tipling Village. We camp overnight in serene and
Day 04: Rest Day in Sertung, I am originally from where. Explore the Tamang village, Local school and Buddhist monasteries above sertung village and hike to Brakar view point. Home stay in sertung for overnight.
Day 05: Sertung – Tipling/2510m, 3-4 hours. The trail goes down to Ata Khola which takes about an hour from Sertung. Then we climb steep uphill to black smith village on the hilltop, having nice view of landscape. Home stay overnight there.
Day 06: Tipling – Pangsang/38300m 6-7 hours. This place has perfect view of Ganesh Himal range. Camping stay overnight.
Day 07: Pangsang – Somdang/3258m. 3-4 hours walk, stay basic lodge overnight there.
Day : Somdang – Gatlang/Parbati Kunda (2250m) from here we enter the area of Tamang Heritage Trail. We spend a night there in basic lodge.
Day 08: Gatlang – Tatopani (2607m) – 4-5 hours. Stay overnight in lodge
Day 09: Rest day in Tatopaani, Take a bathe in naturally hot water. Stay overnight in lodge
Day 10: Tatopani – Nagthali/3200m, view point and make your lunch. 2-3 hours walk. Best view point in this trekking. Stay overnight in lodge.
Day 11: Nagthali – Briddim (2229m) – 3-4 hours through Thuman. Home stay overnight.
Day 12: Briddim –- Syabrubesi/1450m, stay in lodge.
Day 13: Syabrubesi – Kathmandu, 8-9 hours drive to Kathamndu. in Ktm or last hours shopping for dear ones. Stay in selected hotel.
