When to trek?

The best seasons for Everest Trek Best are autumn (September to November) and spring (March to April) is recommended as the best time to trek. The weather is sunny and warm during the daytime with breath-stopping views. However, the weather condition in the Himalayas is associated with the Indian Ocean. Trekking in the summer or Monsoon months (June to Aug) will be affected by rain but the summer trek could be a benefit for a keen botanist.

If you would like to avoid crowds and enjoy a less crowded time with nature then you could trek in winter (Dec - Feb) and it is still warm during the day time and cold in the morning and night. The temperature is -5 to - 12 degrees Celsius in higher places during the winter.

Permits

It requires two kinds of trekking permits to hike the Everest area. You need a Trek Card (Khumbu Rural Municipality Permit) and Sagarmatha National Park entrance which is arranged by your local trekking agency in Nepal.
